On the recent broadcast of Mnet’s Street Woman Fighter, which aired on July 1st, the judges announced the results for the Mega Crew Mission involving five crews. They evaluated the performances based on high-angle shots, national identity, directing, and choreography, demanding a high level of completion in all aspects.

The Australian crew – AG Squad showcased their country’s indigenous culture and natural environment in an artistic way. To convey a wild, untamed feeling, they insisted on filming outdoors, but faced unexpected issues, such as sunset timing and even the cancellation of several locations.

Director Kaea mentioned her team’s struggles, “I’m happy that we pulled it off despite all the restrictions. But I cried a lot. While working on the Mega Crew Mission, I also had to care for my three kids—do laundry, feed them, and put them down for naps.” Watching the final video, Kaea burst into tears as she was overwhelmed by a mix of emotions after completing the challenging shoot.

Judge Lia Kim praised, “The directing was insane.” Park Jin Young added, “The performance was at a really high level.” However, Lia Kim also pointed out, “The choreography lacked structure, and the energy dropped during the high-angle segments.”

AG Squad’s final score was 960 points. Surprised by the lower-than-expected score, Kaea admitted and said, “I just hope the number of ‘likes’ will help boost our score.”

Meanwhile, Japan’s RHTokyo portrayed both the Heisei era and a futuristic vision of Japan. Director Riehata confidently said she felt confident about their concept. Explaining her decision of choosing Tokyo’s iconic Shibuya Scramble Crossing as a key filming location, she said, “It made me question what Japan really is now. In the Heisei era, people had to follow strict rules. I wanted to tell the story of how we broke free from that, and what we went through.”

Despite her tight schedule, Riehata secured diverse Tokyo locations such as arcades, subway platforms, schools, and shopping streets. The crew included a whopping 150 dancers. “I wanted to create a brand-new kind of Mega Crew video,” Riehata said.

Judge Lia Kim acknowledged, “You captured a lot of iconic elements of Japan,” but added, “Still, it didn’t feel like a performance that truly represents a mega crew.” Park Jin Young commented, “I was thrilled. The quality is really amazing. But with so much going on, the dancing didn’t stand out. That’s a minus point in this mission”.

RHTokyo received a final score of 1,065 points, 60 points higher than Osaka’s Ojo Gang. Despite the high score, Riehata confessed, “I think we lacked time and effort, especially in the high-angle segments. I will reflect on that.”
